Nowadays, most of the counter cleaners that you find in the grocery store have tons of chemicals in them, many you probably can’t even pronounce. If you are using a product in the place where you’re eating, brushing your teeth, or bathing, you really should be cleaning with something that is recognizable and you know is safe. The best way to achieve that without spending an arm and a leg on natural products is to make your own! DIY counter spray is super easy and very affordable!

Tools

For this kitchen spray, you just need a clean spray bottle, lavender and tea tree oil, and white distilled vinegar. If you don’t have both of the essential oils, go for at least the tea tree.

Instructions

  1. Fill up the spray bottle ⅓ of the way up with vinegar, and ⅔ with water. The vinegar kills any bacteria that may be living on your surfaces.
  2. Depending on how big your bottle in, put in anywhere from 4-8 drops of each essential oil in The tea tree helps to disinfect the surface and lavender leaves a lovely smell.
  3. Before using, simply give it a good shake so everything mixes together, spray, and wipe clean!
