Spanish cuisine is one of the most world-renowned cuisines for so many flavors. The products available are so fresh and delicious, and each region of the country has given their signature dishes to create the overall cuisine. If you are looking to travel to Spain, eating is one of the most important things you can do while you’re there. So don’t miss out on any of these traditional Spanish meals!

Galicia

Galicia is a region in the Northwest of Spain. The most famous dish you will find there is pulpo, which is an octopus. They prepare the octopus by boiling it, and then simply seasoning it with olive oil, paprika, and salt. It is so delicious and tender, perfect for seafood lovers.

Valencia

A lot of people know paella originated in Valencia, but what they don’t know is that the paella they cook is nothing like we have in other parts of the world. In Valencia, you will find snails, rabbit, sausage and more, although on the coast you can also find seafood paella.

Catalonia

Although you can find pa amb tomaquet, or tomato and bread, all over Spain, the dish actually originated in Catalonia.  It consists of toasted bread with tomato pulp, and although it is simple, it is absolutely scrumptious.
