3 Major Signs That You’re Washing Your Hair Too Often

We all love to have healthy, shiny hair, and washing it often seems like the best way to achieve this goal. Unfortunately, doing this too frequently can lead to a negative outcome. If you’re experiencing any of these issues, it might be a song you’re washing your hair too often.

Dry and Frizzy

Stripping your hair of oils by washing it too often will negatively impact its texture. Instead of getting nice and shiny hair you’ve been hoping for, you’ll end up with dry and frizzy hair. At the end of the day, you’ll have to utilize moisturizing styling products to solve this problem.

Yay it’s Friday!!! Hope you all have fun plans for the weekend. 🤗 Today I am sharing some hair products I have started using and one staple I have used for a long time. In a recent post I shared about a new product from Wow that I have loved for helping to style my hair but I am really trying to work on the health of my hair too. This Ion Nourishing Mask with yogurt and honey has been a great addition it has helped the condition of my hair a lot and smells incredible. I also started using the @remiliahair cosmo caps that I had seen a lot on Instagram and I do think they have helped but I do agree with some other gramers that you do get quite a bit of product in each cap so with my thinner, finer hair I feel like I only need about half a cap. It would be great if they made 2 sizes of caps maybe one for thick hair and one for fine hair as it is hard to save the product once you have opened the cap. Otherwise I love their reusable packaging and biodegradable caps. My last tried and trusted product is fractionated coconut oil. I do a scalp massage about once a week and will sometimes add essential oils or use it plain but really work it into my scalp to increase blood flow and then comb the oil through the length of my hair, braid it and let it sit over night. It helps the health of my scalp and hair so much. Fading Color

If you happen to be coloring your hair, over-washing won’t do it any favor. Your color will fade quickly, and you’ll have to spend more money to dye it again than you originally intended to.

Unnecessary Breakage

If you’re struggling to brush your hair or noticing more split ends than usual, that can also be a sign of over-washing. The effect of brushing and drying can be damaging to your hair, and the more often you do it, the more breakage you’ll experience.
