Here’s Why You Need Project Pan in Your Life

For a long time, impulse shopping and retail therapy have been connected with shopping for clothes. The illustration for that problem has always been a closet full of clothes and a woman who has “nothing to wear” in front of it. However, people use retail therapy in many different ways and compulsively purchase various stuff.

If you’re among those who tend to collect makeup and constantly buy more of it with plenty at home, the best way to declutter and tackle that huge mess is Project Pan.

What’s Project Pan?

Project Pan is not exactly new – it’s been around since 2016. Over the past few years, we could see that it really can help people who struggle with makeup hoarding. “Panning” is an active endeavor to finish a product. The product is considered “panned” once you can see the bottom of it.

Project Pan is a way to stay mindful and use what you have instead of spending money on more products that will end up collecting dust. There’s a big community around this idea on Reddit, and if you want to join in, visit r/MakeupRehab.

Those who have more experience in panning products have some advice for the beginners. Basically, it’s a good idea to decide on a number of products you want to use up in the next few months, for example. Those shouldn’t all be products you hate but want to use up instead of just throwing them out. Create a mixture of products you love and those you can’t wait to get rid of and get on to actively using them!

I have a New Years confession to make. I don't….think….I really like… Glossier. At the beginning of 2018 I thought Glossier was actually the best thing ever. And now, I just…. don't. Like.. At all. I LOVE their aesthetic, and I love their branding, and I legitimately want to/have tried/have begged myself to love them. But I just can't with their products. They don't work for me, almost at all (I haven't tried EVERYTHING, but I've tried a fair bit). And this has been on my heart for a while, and I just feel like I have to let it OUT. I'm not going to dive into the whats and the whys, because if YOU love their stuff, then that's just absolutely A OKAY. I love that you love their stuff. The only things I love from them, though, are true loves. The truest. Cloud Paint and Glossier You. Give me every last one of them both, PLEASE.  This confession is mostly for those of you who also fall into this awkward boat of people who feel badly because they don't get the hype. Oh, Glossier. She's the prettiest. I wish I loved her like everyone else does. Boo. Maybe one day, though. 🙂 . . . . What's a super hyped brand/product that didn't work for you? Let’s bond 🤣♥️ . . . . . . . . . #empties #skincareempties #sundayshelfie #beautygram #skincareroutine #motd #paulaschoice #honeymoonathome #skincareproducts #pmskincare #intothegloss #motd #pink #amskincare #skincarejunkie #skincareaddict #skincareobsessed #favorites #crueltyfreebeauty #crueltyfreeskincare #productphotography #makeupoftheday #skincare #glossier #skincarefavorites
