If You’re Headed to a Flea Market, You Need to Know These Tips

Flea markets are a great place to find all sorts of treasures, and if you want to make the most out of your trip, be sure to follow these tips.

Get There Early

When it comes to flea markets, there’s no such thing as seeing the same thing twice. Whoever comes first gets the best stuff, so you definitely want to get there as early as you can. Depending on what flea market you’re going to, some vendors will get there as soon as dawn breaks, so set your alarm clocks accordingly.

Dress

Depending on what you’re going for, make sure to dress appropriately. If you’re looking mostly for clothes, it’s best to wear shoes that come off easily, and the best bottom to wear is actually a skirt. This makes it easy for you to slip on pants underneath easily to see how it fits. But, if you’re going more for furniture or large items, make sure you go with closed-toed shoes with good support.

Cash

Although some big flea markets might have some vendors that accept cards, cash is always the best way to go. Not only is it the easiest, but your vendors will probably be more likely to give you a better deal if you’re paying up front in cash.
