The treadmill is one of those pieces of workout equipment people either swear by or avoid at all costs. No matter which group you belong to, chances are you’ll find running on a treadmill pretty boring after some time, and here’s how you can make it a little bit more fun.

Multitasking

If you find treadmill workouts monotonous because you’re running in the same place the entire time, there are many ways to shake things up. Put this time to some good use by listening to a podcast or an audiobook, or even catching up with an episode of your favorite sitcom.

Workout Buddy

You probably aren’t the only one who’s struggling to make running on a treadmill more entertaining, so team up with a friend who feels the same way. You’ll feel more motivated to get through your workout and push yourself to the limits when you have someone by your side.

Additional Exercises

Most people only use a treadmill to run or walk, but the options are pretty much endless. You can make your workout more demanding by changing the pace and adding intervals, but taking it easy and working out with a couple of light dumbbells is also an option.
