Lots of people choose to wash their hair daily while others do so once a week. Is it healthy to do so? Lathering up within short intervals can be harmful to natural hair oils in the scalp. However, you should consider the hair type and texture as different hair have different care routines.

Thick hair

If you have coarse or thick hair, you should wash your hair once in three days. You can brush the hair often to ensure that the natural oils reach the hair ends. Use a good conditioner and shampoo that contain shea butter and argan oil.

Fine hair

This hair type becomes greasy and loses shape so you may need to wash often. Once in two days is ideal or every day if possible. Choose a shampoo that is specially made for thick hair as they won’t weigh the hair down.

Oily hair

Oily Scalp should be washed daily. It is difficult but necessary to reduce the overproduction of oil. Use conditioners and shampoos that have tea tree oil, eucalyptus, and peppermint.

Curly hair

If you have textured hair, you do not need to wash your hair often. Once every four days, you can wash it to keep the curls moisturized. Use the hair conditioner in between shampooing the hair. Only comb while the hair is wet and you have used the conditioner. Shampoos with coconut oil and argan oil are also helpful here.
