Going camping this weekend with @msk2115 so I made myself a mist for glowing skin to spray on my face & body throughout the day. When I’m alone or just at home I love going makeup free! ⠀ ⠀ In terms of a beauty routine, it’s been pretty consistent over the last couple of years. I use a lot of oils on my face which I also put on the ends of my hair and have fun concocting up my own hydrating toners with witch hazel, rose water and various essential oils. ⠀ ⠀ Glowing Skin Mist (2oz spray bottle)⠀ 1. 1tsp fractionated coconut oil or jojoba oil⠀ 2. 10 drops each of the following oils:⠀ – geranium⠀ – lavender ⠀ – lemongrass ⠀ – frankincense ⠀ 3. Fill the bottle half full with rose water ⠀ 4. Steps

  • make sure your spray bottle is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized for this gentle face toner
  • add a quarter of filtered tap water to the bottle
  • add half an amount of witch hazel toner
  • add 5 essential drops of tea tree essential oil
  • add a teaspoon of jojoba oil

This formula will help to tighten your pores and moisturize your skin simultaneously.

🌿So finally I made two toners for acne skin. The difference is in essential oil ratio. In the first bottle there is 0,5% of geranium essential oil, in the second one there is 0,4%. I used 4% of Symbiosolv solubilizer in these two toners. My dilemna was how much solubilizer would be good. Solubilizer is a surfactant so in leave-on product the less the better. When surfactants stay on your skin they can enhance unwanted skin penetration (in short). On the other hand it would be expected to get a clear, transparent good looking toner, especially for IG😁 So dilemna was content or form? You can still decrease the percentage of essential oil to 0,3 or 0,2 even and solubilizer to 3 or 2 percent, but I wanted to add a decent portion of this geranium essential oil to balance hydrosol’s aroma. They together give interesting fragrance as are located on the opposite sides of the fragrance wheel. "I’m not super crazy about eye creams but #DrunkElephant #ShabaComplex is definitely one of my faves. I don’t have super dark under eyes nor do I have big eye bags, but I do have some fine lines. I feel like I’ve always had them but didn’t really care too much except when I apply concealer in the area because it always tends to settle in the lines. Shaba has a very thin satiny texture that is formulated to tackle signs of aging in the under-eye area such as fine lines and wrinkles. I’m not really consistent with applying eye creams but I have noticed a huge difference in my under eye area since I incorporated Shaba into my routine. My under eye appears firmer, brighter and my fine lines are slightly diminished. They’re not completely gone but they look softer and less pronounced.
