Bored with your classic apple or cherry pies? You definitely must try this rich Turtle pie with a crunchy pecan cookie crust recipe by Sweetmenu. It’s full of delicious caramel, chocolate, and pecan flavor and perfect for those who love creamy, melt-in-your-mouth desserts.

Ingredients

  • Pecan cookie crust
  • 140 grams (1 cup) plain flour
  • 50 grams (1/4 cup) caster sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch or cornflour
  • 110 grams (1 cup) pecans, finely chopped
  • 115 grams (1/2 cup or 1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

Brown sugar caramel

  • 240 ml (1 cup) sweetened condensed milk
  • 90 grams (1/2 cup) brown sugar
  • 60 grams (1/4 cup) unsalted butter
  • Pinch of sea salt

Chocolate ganache

  • 225 grams (1 and 1/2 cups) dark (or milk) chocolate, roughly chopped
  • 120 ml (1/2 cup) thickened or heavy cream
  • 110 grams (1 cup) pecans, roughly chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180 C (350 F).
  2. Mix flour, sugar, cornflour, and pecans, pour over melted butter and stir until the mixture looks like wet sand.
  3. Pour this mixture into an 8-inch pie plate and press evenly into the bottom and sides.
  4. Bake cookie crust for 15 minutes and leave to cool for 15 minutes.
  5. Make the caramel cream by adding sweetened condensed milk, brown sugar and butter in a saucepan and place on low-medium heat.
  6. Stir gently until the caramel thickens and the sugar is completely melted, then add a pinch of salt.
  7. Once cool, pour caramel cream over baked cookie crust and place this in a fridge.
  8. Place chocolate and cream into a bowl to make the chocolate ganache. Heat in the microwave and make sure to stir every 20 seconds, until smooth. Another way to make the ganache is to heat the cream on the stovetop and add chocolate.
  9. Pour the ganache over the caramel, decorate with chopped pecans on top and put the pie in the fridge again, for about 6 hours or overnight.

Starting your day with a healthy and nutritious meal is extremely important, so make sure you try this honey blueberry granola recipe. It’s super easy to prepare, plus it’s healthy, gluten-free and will keep you full until lunch.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup quinoa flakes
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/2 cup coconut flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground vanilla bean powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 cup almond butter or nut butter of choice
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons water or more oil
  • 1/2 cup dried blueberries

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the oats, quinoa flakes, almonds, coconut, and spices. Stir to combine.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt together the almond butter, honey, oil, and water. Stir until smooth and completely melted. Pour liquid mixture over the dry ingredients and mix until evenly coated.
  4. Transfer this mixture to the prepared baking sheet and bake on the center rack for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. For more clustery granola, press down on the granola to pack everything together before returning to the oven. Remove from oven and stir in blueberries.
  5. Allow the granola to cool completely before breaking apart. Serve however you like to enjoy granola!

  • 1 cup whole milk or unsweetened nut milk such as hemp, cashew, or almond
  • 1⁄2-teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1⁄2-teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1⁄4-teaspoon ground ashwagandha or other adaptogens such as astralagus or astralagus
  • 2 pinches of ground cardamom
  • 1 pinch of ground ginger (optional)
  • 1 pinch of ground nutmeg
  • Pinch of black pepper freshly ground
  • 1-teaspoon virgin coconut oil or ghee
  • 1-teaspoon (preferably raw) honey

Instructions:

  1. Simmer the milk in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.
  2. Whisk in turmeric, cinnamon, ashwagandha, ginger, and cardamom, and nutmeg; season with black pepper.
  3. Whisk to avoid any lumps and clumps.
  4. Add the coconut oil, reducing the heat to low, and continuing cooking it until it’s warm; about 5-10 minutes.
  5. Then remove it from the heat and allow it to cool.
  6. Stir in the honey.
  7. Pour into a mug and drink it while it’s warm.

When you’re thinking about preparing a tasty winter drink, whether you need it for holiday festivities or a lazy Sunday afternoon, what is the first drink that comes to your mind? That’s right, it’s mulled wine!

There are so many perfect recipes for mulled wine and that’s what’s so great about this drink. Anyone can make it according to their taste. We suggest you try this mulled wine recipe with apple cider and orange juice taken from The Feed Feed.

Ingredients

  • 1 750 ml bottle red wine I used cabernet sauvignon
  • 1 cup fresh apple cider check ingredients to ensure it’s just apples/apple juice
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup more if you like a lot of sweetness
  • 1/4 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
  • 3-4 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 4 star anise
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1/2 cup brandy or your other favorite liquor optional

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a large pot and heat up over medium heat until just simmering. Do not bring to a boil (otherwise you might boil off the alcohol!)
  2. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer for a minimum of 15 minutes (max 3 hours).
  3. Serve with a slice of orange, apple, cranberries, and cinnamon stick. Enjoy!

A good cook is someone who can balance their busy lifestyles with an equal amount of self-care. She created a killer blackened salmon recipe to represent her Louisiana roots and the recipe is incredibly delicious!

Ingredients

  • skin-on fillet salmon
  • ricotta cheese
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • black-eyed peas
  • bay leaves
  • grounded sassafras leaves
  • collard greens
  • lemon
  • for the sauce (white wine vinegar, dijon mustard, buttermilk. canola oil)
  • chives
  • fresh dill
  • shallots
  • canola oil
  • smoked paprika
  • garlic powder

Steps

  • trim off the salmon from its skin and remove all the brown residue on the fish (if there is)
  • cut the fish into 1-2 inches
  • mix paprika and salt and sprinkle it on the fish slices
  • keep the salmon in the fridge for 40 minutes
  • soak the black-eyed peas in water
  • add half an onion to the water, bay leaves, and grounded sassafras leaves
  • season with black pepper and mix it (don’t add salt)
  • cook the beans for 30 minutes
  • cut the collard greens thinly
  • grate lemon zest on the collard greens and season it with salt
  • for the vinaigrette sauce blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender and add chives and fresh dill, shallots
  • for the beans add canola oil, smoked paprika and garlic powder and seasonings
  • bake the beans in an oven for 20 minutes until its crunchy
  • take out the salmon from the fridge and sear for a few minutes until one side is cooked
  • mix sliced cheese, the vinaigrette, and collard greens together.

Now you have a meal for 4 or even one if you’re extra hungry.

These dulce de leche brownies are so tasty even people who don’t like sweet things will be hooked.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon espresso powder
  • 2 1/4 cups sugar
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2- 1 cup dulce de leche
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup butter- 2 sticks
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions:

Set the oven to 350 F degrees and prepare a baking pan with the size 9×13.

Get a pan and add the butter. When it’s melted, combine it with the sugar for two more minutes while also mixing all the time. It should not boil.

Next, combine this mix with the eggs, espresso powder, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, and vanilla. Use a mixer to mix everything together.

When you’re done you can add the chocolate chips and flour as well. Divide the mixture into two halves and pour one in the baking pan. Cover it with half of the dulce de leche.

Add the rest of the batter and then the second half of the dulce de leche. Bake the brownies for half an hour.

This gentle coffee mask scrub is perfect for your bathroom or a gift for your friends. They’ll surely be pleased with the scent of your homemade face mask recipe.

Coffee beans contain antioxidants that protect premature skin aging and refresh the face from pollution and gunk that accumulate on the skin over the day. It also acts as a mild exfoliant that scrubs the top layer of dead skin cells away – leaving the skin silky smooth.

This gentle cleanser is perfect to use up to 4 times a week because of its no harsh ingredients. Just make sure to use it within a month so it keeps fresh.

Ingredients for the Scrub

  • a small jar
  • twine (if you want to package it for a friend)
  • one cup coffee grounds (you can use used coffee grounds)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or coconut oil
  • half a cup of organic cane sugar
  • 2 essential oils of choice (tea tree, orange, lavender)

Steps to Make the Scrub

  • add 2 tablespoons of your oil of choice
  • cover the small jar and shake all the ingredients together

  • apply the scrub to damp skin and massage gently
  • massage on the neck too to stimulate the blood

Italians sure know good food, and what’s even better, they approve artichokes in their best recipes.

Today, we wanted to deliver an interesting twist of everyone’s favorite appetizer – bruschetta. The toasted slices of bread can have any spread that you can imagine and still taste fantastic.

The artichoke bruschetta recipe takes half an hour and it will be the highlight of your week.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 14 oz artichoke hearts, chopped
  • 1 loaf French bread, cut into slices that are 1/3” thick
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 oz softened cream cheese
  • paprika (optional)
  • chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions:

Get a bowl and start beating the cream cheese. Add in the artichoke hearts and mayonnaise. Mix again so that everything is well blended together.

When you’re done, you can include the garlic and cheddar cheese. Beat again for an even mixture.

Cut the French bread into slices and cover each one with the mixture. Place the slices on a sheet and leave the baking sheet in the oven.

Set it to the broiling option. Broil the artichoke bruschetta for 2 to 3 minutes.

When the time is up, use the paprika and chopped parsley to top off the bruschetta. Bon appetit!

ARTICHOKE BRUSCHETTA. First time I tried this dish in a local brewpub and it became my favorite item on their menu. But then they stopped making it, which I was really sad at first, but then found this recipe on Geniuskitchen site. It is done in minutes and tastes so delicious and sophisticated. What's not to love?❤ Ingredients: 1 (6 1/2 ounce) jar marinated artichoke hearts, drained and chopped 1 medium tomatoes, seeds removed and diced 1/2 cup grated Romano cheese or 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion 2 garlic cloves, crushed 5 Tbsp mayonnaise 1 French baguette, cut into 1/3 inch thick slices. Preheat the broiler. Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and toast lightly under the broiler. In a medium bowl, mix marinated artichoke hearts, Romano or Parmesan cheese, red onion, crushed garlic, diced tomato and mayonnaise. Top the lightly toasted French baguette slices with equal amounts of the artichoke heart mixture being careful to spread the mixture over the entire surface. The edges of the bread will tend to burn if not covered by the artichoke mixture. Arrange slices in a single layer on the baking sheet. Broil in the preheated oven 2 minutes, or until toppings are bubbly and lightly browned. Now sit back, relax and enjoy your masterpiece! Granola is the perfect breakfast food for people with a busy schedule, and a pretty popular vegan option. If you’re always on the lookout for tasty new recipes that don’t require a lot of work, we’ve got one just for you.

Dana Shultz from Minimalist Baker is also a fan of our favorite go-to breakfast food, and she shared her favorite recipe for raw granola that takes only five minutes to make. Her recipe is mostly based on raw nuts and dates, but you can easily add a bunch of other tasty ingredients to the mix.

You can also get creative when it comes to serving this 5-minute granola, and make it even tastier with different flavorings, fresh fruits, and yogurt. Check out the full list of ingredients and instructions, and see if you can come up with any amazing ideas on your own.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups raw walnuts (I subbed 1/3 of this amount with sprouted almonds)
  • 15 – 17 pitted dates (I prefer medjool/fresh sticky dates work best here)
  • 1 heaping Tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 heaping Tbsp flaxseed meal
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup shredded unsweetened coconut
  • 1/2 cup gluten-free rolled oats* (omit or substitute to keep truly raw)
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp maca powder (optional)
  • 1 pinch sea salt

Instructions

  1. To a food processor (which will work better than a blender), add nuts and pulse a few times to roughly chop. Then add dates and pulse about 5 times to loosely combine.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and pulse to combine. The mixture should resemble a chunky granola.
  3. At this point, you could add extra “flavor” in the form or cacao powder and cacao nibs, dried fruit of choice, or vanilla extract or powder. My preferred is cacao powder and nibs!
  4. Enjoy as is, on top of coconut yogurt, or with dairy-free milk! This would work in just about any scenario regular granola would.
  5. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature up to 2 weeks or in the refrigerator for 3 weeks. Transfer to the freezer for longer-term storage (up to 1 month).

Bored with your classic apple or cherry pies? You definitely must try this rich Turtle pie with a crunchy pecan cookie crust recipe by Sweetmenu. It’s full of delicious caramel, chocolate, and pecan flavor and perfect for those who love creamy, melt-in-your-mouth desserts.

Ingredients

  • Pecan cookie crust
  • 140 grams (1 cup) plain flour
  • 50 grams (1/4 cup) caster sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch or cornflour
  • 110 grams (1 cup) pecans, finely chopped
  • 115 grams (1/2 cup or 1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

Brown sugar caramel

  • 240 ml (1 cup) sweetened condensed milk
  • 90 grams (1/2 cup) brown sugar
  • 60 grams (1/4 cup) unsalted butter
  • Pinch of sea salt

Chocolate ganache

  • 225 grams (1 and 1/2 cups) dark (or milk) chocolate, roughly chopped
  • 120 ml (1/2 cup) thickened or heavy cream
  • 110 grams (1 cup) pecans, roughly chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180 C (350 F).
  2. Mix flour, sugar, cornflour, and pecans, pour over melted butter and stir until the mixture looks like wet sand.
  3. Pour this mixture into an 8-inch pie plate and press evenly into the bottom and sides.
  4. Bake cookie crust for 15 minutes and leave to cool for 15 minutes.
  5. Make the caramel cream by adding sweetened condensed milk, brown sugar and butter in a saucepan and place on low-medium heat.
  6. Stir gently until the caramel thickens and the sugar is completely melted, then add a pinch of salt.
  7. Once cool, pour caramel cream over baked cookie crust and place this in a fridge.
  8. Place chocolate and cream into a bowl to make the chocolate ganache. Heat in the microwave and make sure to stir every 20 seconds, until smooth. Another way to make the ganache is to heat the cream on the stovetop and add chocolate.
  9. Pour the ganache over the caramel, decorate with chopped pecans on top and put the pie in the fridge again, for about 6 hours or overnight.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup quinoa flakes
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/2 cup coconut flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground vanilla bean powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 cup almond butter or nut butter of choice
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons water or more oil
  • 1/2 cup dried blueberries

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the oats, quinoa flakes, almonds, coconut, and spices. Stir to combine.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt together the almond butter, honey, oil, and water. Stir until smooth and completely melted. Pour liquid mixture over the dry ingredients and mix until evenly coated.
  4. Transfer this mixture to the prepared baking sheet and bake on the center rack for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes. For more clustery granola, press down on the granola to pack everything together before returning to the oven. Remove from oven and stir in blueberries.
  5. Allow the granola to cool completely before breaking apart. Serve however you like to enjoy granola!

  • 1 cup whole milk or unsweetened nut milk such as hemp, cashew, or almond
  • 1⁄2-teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1⁄2-teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1⁄4-teaspoon ground ashwagandha or other adaptogens such as astralagus or astralagus
  • 2 pinches of ground cardamom
  • 1 pinch of ground ginger (optional)
  • 1 pinch of ground nutmeg
  • Pinch of black pepper freshly ground
  • 1-teaspoon virgin coconut oil or ghee
  • 1-teaspoon (preferably raw) honey

Instructions:

  1. Simmer the milk in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.
  2. Whisk in turmeric, cinnamon, ashwagandha, ginger, and cardamom, and nutmeg; season with black pepper.
  3. Whisk to avoid any lumps and clumps.
  4. Add the coconut oil, reducing the heat to low, and continuing cooking it until it’s warm; about 5-10 minutes.
  5. Then remove it from the heat and allow it to cool.
  6. Stir in the honey.
  7. Pour into a mug and drink it while it’s warm.

When you’re thinking about preparing a tasty winter drink, whether you need it for holiday festivities or a lazy Sunday afternoon, what is the first drink that comes to your mind? That’s right, it’s mulled wine!

There are so many perfect recipes for mulled wine and that’s what’s so great about this drink. Anyone can make it according to their taste. We suggest you try this mulled wine recipe with apple cider and orange juice taken from The Feed Feed.

Ingredients

  • 1 750 ml bottle red wine I used cabernet sauvignon
  • 1 cup fresh apple cider check ingredients to ensure it’s just apples/apple juice
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup more if you like a lot of sweetness
  • 1/4 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
  • 3-4 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 4 star anise
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 1/2 cup brandy or your other favorite liquor optional

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a large pot and heat up over medium heat until just simmering. Do not bring to a boil (otherwise you might boil off the alcohol!)
  2. Reduce heat to medium low and simmer for a minimum of 15 minutes (max 3 hours).
  3. Serve with a slice of orange, apple, cranberries, and cinnamon stick. Enjoy!

A good cook is someone who can balance their busy lifestyles with an equal amount of self-care. She created a killer blackened salmon recipe to represent her Louisiana roots and the recipe is incredibly delicious!

Ingredients

  • skin-on fillet salmon
  • ricotta cheese
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • black-eyed peas
  • bay leaves
  • grounded sassafras leaves
  • collard greens
  • lemon
  • for the sauce (white wine vinegar, dijon mustard, buttermilk. canola oil)
  • chives
  • fresh dill
  • shallots
  • canola oil
  • smoked paprika
  • garlic powder

Steps

  • trim off the salmon from its skin and remove all the brown residue on the fish (if there is)
  • cut the fish into 1-2 inches
  • mix paprika and salt and sprinkle it on the fish slices
  • keep the salmon in the fridge for 40 minutes
  • soak the black-eyed peas in water
  • add half an onion to the water, bay leaves, and grounded sassafras leaves
  • season with black pepper and mix it (don’t add salt)
  • cook the beans for 30 minutes
  • cut the collard greens thinly
  • grate lemon zest on the collard greens and season it with salt
  • for the vinaigrette sauce blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender and add chives and fresh dill, shallots
  • for the beans add canola oil, smoked paprika and garlic powder and seasonings
  • bake the beans in an oven for 20 minutes until its crunchy
  • take out the salmon from the fridge and sear for a few minutes until one side is cooked
  • mix sliced cheese, the vinaigrette, and collard greens together.

Now you have a meal for 4 or even one if you’re extra hungry.

These dulce de leche brownies are so tasty even people who don’t like sweet things will be hooked.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 1/4 cups cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon espresso powder
  • 2 1/4 cups sugar
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2- 1 cup dulce de leche
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup butter- 2 sticks
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions:

Set the oven to 350 F degrees and prepare a baking pan with the size 9×13.

Get a pan and add the butter. When it’s melted, combine it with the sugar for two more minutes while also mixing all the time. It should not boil.

Next, combine this mix with the eggs, espresso powder, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, and vanilla. Use a mixer to mix everything together.

When you’re done you can add the chocolate chips and flour as well. Divide the mixture into two halves and pour one in the baking pan. Cover it with half of the dulce de leche.

Add the rest of the batter and then the second half of the dulce de leche. Bake the brownies for half an hour.

This gentle coffee mask scrub is perfect for your bathroom or a gift for your friends. They’ll surely be pleased with the scent of your homemade face mask recipe.

Coffee beans contain antioxidants that protect premature skin aging and refresh the face from pollution and gunk that accumulate on the skin over the day. It also acts as a mild exfoliant that scrubs the top layer of dead skin cells away – leaving the skin silky smooth.

This gentle cleanser is perfect to use up to 4 times a week because of its no harsh ingredients. Just make sure to use it within a month so it keeps fresh.

Ingredients for the Scrub

  • a small jar
  • twine (if you want to package it for a friend)
  • one cup coffee grounds (you can use used coffee grounds)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or coconut oil
  • half a cup of organic cane sugar
  • 2 essential oils of choice (tea tree, orange, lavender)

Steps to Make the Scrub

  • combine all the dry ingredients together (sugar and coffee grounds)
  • pour 10 essential oil drops of one oil
  • pour 10 essential oil drops of another oil
  • mix well
  • add 2 tablespoons of your oil of choice
  • cover the small jar and shake all the ingredients together

  • apply the scrub to damp skin and massage gently
  • massage on the neck too to stimulate the blood

Italians sure know good food, and what’s even better, they approve artichokes in their best recipes.

Today, we wanted to deliver an interesting twist of everyone’s favorite appetizer – bruschetta. The toasted slices of bread can have any spread that you can imagine and still taste fantastic.

The artichoke bruschetta recipe takes half an hour and it will be the highlight of your week.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 14 oz artichoke hearts, chopped
  • 1 loaf French bread, cut into slices that are 1/3” thick
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 oz softened cream cheese
  • paprika (optional)
  • chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions:

Get a bowl and start beating the cream cheese. Add in the artichoke hearts and mayonnaise. Mix again so that everything is well blended together.

When you’re done, you can include the garlic and cheddar cheese. Beat again for an even mixture.

Cut the French bread into slices and cover each one with the mixture. Place the slices on a sheet and leave the baking sheet in the oven.

Set it to the broiling option. Broil the artichoke bruschetta for 2 to 3 minutes.

When the time is up, use the paprika and chopped parsley to top off the bruschetta. Bon appetit!

ARTICHOKE BRUSCHETTA. First time I tried this dish in a local brewpub and it became my favorite item on their menu. But then they stopped making it, which I was really sad at first, but then found this recipe on Geniuskitchen site. It is done in minutes and tastes so delicious and sophisticated. What's not to love?❤ Ingredients: 1 (6 1/2 ounce) jar marinated artichoke hearts, drained and chopped 1 medium tomatoes, seeds removed and diced 1/2 cup grated Romano cheese or 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion 2 garlic cloves, crushed 5 Tbsp mayonnaise 1 French baguette, cut into 1/3 inch thick slices. Preheat the broiler. Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and toast lightly under the broiler. In a medium bowl, mix marinated artichoke hearts, Romano or Parmesan cheese, red onion, crushed garlic, diced tomato and mayonnaise. Top the lightly toasted French baguette slices with equal amounts of the artichoke heart mixture being careful to spread the mixture over the entire surface. The edges of the bread will tend to burn if not covered by the artichoke mixture. Arrange slices in a single layer on the baking sheet. Broil in the preheated oven 2 minutes, or until toppings are bubbly and lightly browned. Now sit back, relax and enjoy your masterpiece! Granola is the perfect breakfast food for people with a busy schedule, and a pretty popular vegan option. If you’re always on the lookout for tasty new recipes that don’t require a lot of work, we’ve got one just for you.

Dana Shultz from Minimalist Baker is also a fan of our favorite go-to breakfast food, and she shared her favorite recipe for raw granola that takes only five minutes to make. Her recipe is mostly based on raw nuts and dates, but you can easily add a bunch of other tasty ingredients to the mix.

You can also get creative when it comes to serving this 5-minute granola, and make it even tastier with different flavorings, fresh fruits, and yogurt. Check out the full list of ingredients and instructions, and see if you can come up with any amazing ideas on your own.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups raw walnuts (I subbed 1/3 of this amount with sprouted almonds)
  • 15 – 17 pitted dates (I prefer medjool/fresh sticky dates work best here)
  • 1 heaping Tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 heaping Tbsp flaxseed meal
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup shredded unsweetened coconut
  • 1/2 cup gluten-free rolled oats* (omit or substitute to keep truly raw)
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp maca powder (optional)
  • 1 pinch sea salt

Instructions

  1. To a food processor (which will work better than a blender), add nuts and pulse a few times to roughly chop. Then add dates and pulse about 5 times to loosely combine.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and pulse to combine. The mixture should resemble a chunky granola.
  3. At this point, you could add extra “flavor” in the form or cacao powder and cacao nibs, dried fruit of choice, or vanilla extract or powder. My preferred is cacao powder and nibs!
  4. Enjoy as is, on top of coconut yogurt, or with dairy-free milk! This would work in just about any scenario regular granola would.
  5. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature up to 2 weeks or in the refrigerator for 3 weeks. Transfer to the freezer for longer-term storage (up to 1 month).
