WWD reports have announced that Selena’s production company, July Moon Productions, have filed a trademark for “Selena Gomez” for a number of beauty products. These include everything from fragrances and perfumes to essential oils, soaps and skin care preparations.

The news isn’t entirely surprising considering Selena’s relationship with the beauty and fashion industries. She has been the face of many fashion campaigns including Puma, Louis Vuitton, and Victoria Secret. In 2011, she also launched a namesake fragrance with Adrenalina Inc.

The singer has been keeping a low profile recently but the new beauty range may mean that she is putting herself back on the map. Could this also mean new music from the former Disney star? Only time will tell.

Krahs was established by Gomez’s close friend Theresa Marie Mingus, who also used to be her personal assistant. She accepted her invitation to work with this brand, and ended up designing three pieces for the new collection.

The first limited-edition item designed by Selena Gomez is a red one-piece swimsuit with an open back. The second is a bikini that comes in both red and black, and consists of a classic top with water-resistant clasp and belted high-waisted bottom.

This fashion item has a very special meaning for young singer, since she designed it with her kidney transplant scar in mind. While discussing her collection in an Instagram post, Gomez revealed the motivation behind this decision and said that bathing suits that cancel her scar make her feel more comfortable.
