Fondue might seem like an old-fashioned party dip, but it isn’t! Fondue is super underrated because everyone loves cheese, and no one can resist melted cheese! This fondue is super easy to bring together because you make it in the pot that you serve it in, and that pot is a slow-cooker!

Ingredients

  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 3/4 cup of white wine
  • 9 oz of swiss cheese
  • 9 oz of gruyere cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt

Recipe

  1. Start by putting the white wine into your slow-cooker and turning it on high. Cover and leave for 5 minutes.
  2. While that warms up, mince the garlic clove.
  3. Grate each of the cheeses and leave them in a big bowl. Add in the corn starch, nutmeg, pepper, and salt, and mix well.
  4. Add the garlic to the wine and leave for 1 minute.
  5. After the minute, pour the cheese mixture into the slow-cooker, stir a little, and leave for 30 minutes on high.
  6. Then, turn it down to low, cook for 45 minutes more, but stir a few times to make sure it doesn’t burn.
  7. Finally, before serving, stir it one more time, and then let your guests dunk in bread, fruit, vegetables, or anything else!
