Most of the countries in Europe get grouped together as either Eastern, Western, Southern, or Northern Europe. However, there is still Central Europe, home to many countries you’ve probably been organizing incorrectly in your head. If you’re someone who loves to travel but isn’t great at geography, this is the guide for you.

Germany

A lot of times Germany is thought to be part of Western Europe because it’s so close when in reality, it’s Central Europe! Germany is an amazing country to visit because they are really dedicated to social progressive change, the architecture is amazing, and it’s so important to learn about their troubled history.

Poland

Poland is almost always associated with Eastern Europe because its language sounds much like a Soviet language to the untrained ear. However, it borders Germany and is also a Central European country! Poland is a really affordable and beautiful place to visit and should definitely be looked into!

Switzerland

Switzerland seems to be in the same league as Northern Europe, but in reality, it’s still central! This small country has some of the most beautiful landscapes, mountains, and lakes in the world. Although it is a pricey place, you should go there at least once in your life.
