Having a great workout sometimes isn’t enough to reach your fitness goals – especially if you don’t stay committed to your progress once it’s over. If you’re cultivating one of these post-workout habits, it’s time to change your ways.

No Rehydration

It’s essential to drink some water after your workout, even if you don’t feel extremely thirsty. It’s important to stay hydrated, but avoid soda and energy drinks since they’re not such a great substitute and often happen to be filled with sugar.

Wrong Snacks

We all feel pretty hungry after burning tons of calories during our workout, but that’s not a reason to eat everything in sight. It’s recommended to eat something in the first 30 minutes after the gym, but try to go for foods that contain protein, little fat, and some healthy carbs.

Lazy Day

Your hard work at the gym is going to waste if you spend the rest of your day doing nothing. Instead of binge-watching Netflix all day long, put aside some time to take a walk at a local park or clean around the house.
