Bruschetta is an Italian starter that is made with really simple ingredients, but is super flavorful. This dish makes for a perfect appetizer at a party because you can make a large batch of it, and you can even make it in advanced! This is also a vegan appetizer, and you can also use a gluten-free option for the crostini if you need it. Once you take a bite, you’ll wonder how you ever made any other appetizer before.
Recipe
- Start by preheating the oven to 350 F.
- Cut up a stale or fresh loaf of bread into crostinis and place them on a baking tray. Drizzle over olive oil, salt, and pepper, and put them into the oven once it’s heated for 7-10 minutes until they’re slightly brown.
- Chop up a big handful of basil into small pieces and put them into a bowl.
- Dice any many tomatoes as you want, depending on the size of your party, and put them into the bowl with the basil.
- Drizzle over balsamic oil, salt, pepper, a bit of olive oil, and a dash or dried oregano and mix everything together.
- Serve immediately or keep in the fridge for when it’s time for the party.
