Calcium is an essential vitamin that is naturally occurring in animal and plant-based products. It is so important for you to have enough for hair and nail growth, strong bones, and more. If you are vegan or simply don’t have a balanced diet, you might be lacking in calcium. Make sure you’re getting enough each day with this calcium guide.

Dark Leafy Greens

The best way to get your fix of calcium every day is by eating loads of dark leafy greens. These vegetables include collard greens, mustard and turnip greens, kale, and bok choy. These have the most calcium out of all the dark leafy greens, and can be added to smoothies, soups, or salads!

Fortified Non-Dairy Milk

If you eat cereal in the morning, oatmeal, or take non-dairy milk in your coffee, try buying a fortified product instead. Although it isn’t completely natural, it’s good to have around in case you have a day that is lacking in calcium.
