Gigi Hadid Fronts Burberry’s First “Monogram” Collection

Many luxury fashion houses like putting their signature monograms on display and Burberry is ready to join their ranks. The brand recently unveiled their first “Monogram” collection, and Gigi Hadid was in charge of presenting it to the world.

Hadid’s collaboration with the British fashion house comes shortly after she made her runway debut for Burberry. She can be seen embodying several different characters while rocking a variety of items with new monogram – including bomber jackets, track pants, and tote bags.

Burberry’s creative director Riccardo Tisci came up with brand’s new graphic identity, but the new monogram actually has a rich history behind it. The symbol is inspired by the founder of this fashion house Thomas Burberry, and it’s a direct reference to his initials.

“When I saw an image of his initials, the design felt so special and actually very modern, so I quickly developed it into a new code for the house. It’s a symbol that not only embraces Burberry’s heritage but also feels very contemporary,” said Tisci in a statement.
