It’s tulip season and you may have already grabbed a bouquet on the nearest market. They look stunning in a vase on your table, but how do you make them last longer?
Choose the Closed Ones
If you pick tulips that are already in full bloom, you won’t get to enjoy them more than a few days.
Cut Their Bottoms at Angle
This way you’ll ensure they get enough water from the vase.
Remove the Excess Leaves
Watch for the leaves that will be soaked in the water – they may rot and make your beautiful flowers go bad sooner.
Cold Water
You want to give your tulips fresh, cold water instead of warm or lukewarm water.
Avoid Direct Sunlight
Tulips don’t like being hot, so keep them in the shadow.
