Hair accessorizing is one of the hottest fashion crazes of the year, and if there’s one person we can always count on to flawlessly pull off the latest trends – Lupita Nyong’o. The Oscar winner delivered one of her most daring looks to date at South By Southwest Festival, but it was her hairstyle that had everyone talking.
Nyong’o was in Austin to promote her latest film Us, and her hairstylist Vernon François came up with the perfect way to help her to stand out in the crowd. He adorned her hair with a bunch of silver alligator hair clips – a look you’ll either love or hate.
Nyong’o paired of this interesting hairstyle with an edgy white suite, vibrant red makeup and a pair of earrings shaped like scissors – obvious nod to her latest film that had its world premiere at this festival.
This eccentric look won’t sit well with everyone, but the Black Panther star is one of the very few people who would even dare to give it a shot and we can’t help but admire her bold red carpet choices. You go, Lupita!
