How To Make The Perfect-tasting Spring Rolls at Home

Supplies You Need:

  • 1 ½ lbs shredded pork
  • 1 cup minced carrots
  • 1 cup minced water chestnuts
  • ¼ cup red onion
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 2 tbs chicken powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • ½ cup chopped green onion
  • ½ cup canola oil or vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • Lumpia wrapper or egg roll wrapper

The Process:

Put the pork into a bowl, then add the carrots, the water chestnuts, the onions, the garlic, the chicken powder, the black pepper and mix all together. Cover the bowl with a plastic wrap, put it into a refrigerator, and leave it for 1 hour. Meanwhile, separate the lumpia wrap. You must do it slowly and very gently, otherwise you will rip it. Fold the wrap and cut it into half, so you get two triangles.

After one hour, get the mixture out of the fridge, put it in a Ziploc bag, cut a small hole, and spread it horizontally at the end of the wrapper. Secure the meat by folding the wrapper and also tucking in the ends. Roll it up and secure it with egg yolk.

After you are done with the folding, fry the rolls on medium to high heat for around 3 minutes.
