Red is the rarest of hair colors and its eye-catching hues have always made an impression.

The color is anything but commonplace, whether it comes in the form of ginger curls, a copper mine or auburn waves.

This season, red hair has dethroned platinum blond as a favorite on the runways.

Red-haired models with freckles, like Rianne von Rompaey and Bruna Dapper, are putting their stamp on fashion. Brazilian Bruna Dapper is a favorite of Diane von Furstenberg and Marc Jacobs.

Sophia Friesen is a relative newcomer with red curls and a nonchalance that makes her captivating.

Madison Stubbington is an Australian who brings cuteness to the runway. She has worked with Gucci and Valentino. Kiki Willems is a Dutch model who has starred in advertisements for brands like Calvin Klein, Valentino, and Saint Laurent.

Karen Elson is one of the most iconic red-haired models. Her creamy skin and crimson locks have made her extremely popular with top photographers. She has starred in campaigns for many favorite brands like Versace and Louis Vuitton.

Anastasia Ivanova, with her wide-set eyes and regal features, is another photographers’ favorite. Anniek Kortleve has been walking the runway for many years and in one season she appeared in 33 shows. Her copper hair, invisible eyebrows, and piercing stare have brought her fame.
