]]> The newly opened restaurant in Norway has been flooded with reservations for months before it opened. Under has started serving guests recently so we get to see the photos posted by people who had the chance to visit it.

The largest underwater restaurant on the planet – and the only one of its kind in Europe – was built by the architecture company Snøhetta.

The guests enter the building from the shore and get seated in the 100-person dining room. Needless to say, the view from the restaurant is spectacular. The dinner is prepared by a team of chefs led by Nicolai Ellitsgaard and the menu consists mostly of local produce and wildlife.

Bathrooms

In most places in Europe, it’s not a given that going to the bathroom will be free, even in places like gas stations and some restaurants! For that reason, be mindful and always ask someone who works there if they’re free or not. Also, some bathrooms don’t have toilet seats so be mindful of that as well.

Open Hours

A lot of places in the US are open 24/7 or at least every day of the week, but in most places in Europe, that won’t be the case. Not only are some places like grocery stores closed on Sundays, but most shops will close pretty early in the evening and might also be closed for a few hours in the afternoon.

Showers

If you stay in an airbnb or a hostel, you might be surprise to find that there isn’t a regular shower head that is attached to the wall. Instead, sometimes there there will just be one that you need to hold yourself in order to bathe.

The oldest republic in the world, established in 301, is San Marino. It’s located inside the borders of Italy, southwest from the city of Rimini on the coast of the Adriatic sea. Despite its attractive location, you’ll rarely meet tourists here. San Marino is officially the least visited country in Europe.

The capital of this small country is also called San Marino and it’s one of the 9 cities the country has.

San Marino is a real gem for adventurous tourists. You can ride around it in cable cars, visit its famous Museum of Curiosities, and shop at bargain prices because of their no-tax policy.

Qui è racchiusa tutta la bellezza dell'incanto: panorami spettacolari, strapiombi vertiginosi, pietra squadrata e roccia unite in un connubbio indissolubile, magico. San Marino è come una sorta di torre di Babele che dal basso si sviluppa attorno al proprio Monte, quello sperone che ha il nome di un gigante pur non essendolo, ma che ne mantiene vivissima la forza e mette in soggezione il visitatore più sensibile. Simbolicamente, il Titano sorge al centro della città e della Repubblica intera, è dunque a pieno titolo il suo 'omphalos', l'ombelico da cui tutto ha avuto origine e a cui tutto converge, primo fra tutto lo sguardo di chiunque arrivi:esso si punta là in alto, stupito e rapito dalla sagoma di quelle torri svettanti. In una giornata di alternata nebbia, si può ricavare una collezione di sensazioni tanto mutevoli quanto sconvolgenti dentro se stessi. Arrivare alla prima torre è già iniziare ad immergersi nel passato, in un'atmosfera condita di tanti sentimenti che solo l'immaginazione e i rimembri di echi lontani permettono di provare e da qui in poi i sensi umani sono messi a dura prova:l'estasi!  Mentre si percorre il camminamento di ronda si scorge all'improvviso la seconda torre, che traspare tra la nebbia, perfetto soggetto per una cornice impareggiabile, abbarbicata sul dirupo più alto del Titano, alla sua massima elevazione (739 m), quasi irreale, fiabesca, eppure reale. 📝 #ig_italia #italia #instagramitalia #ig_italia_borghiecitta #italy

]]> Spain is a beautiful country with some of the most amazing food in the world. But, it definitely has it’s quirks. Before you go, here are a few tips that will help you have the best vacation ever.

Nightlife

People all over Spain are notorious for going out late, and the rumors are true. You might go out for a beer early in the night, but if you want to go to a proper club, you certainly cannot get there before 2am and prepare yourself to stay out until 6 or even 7 in the morning.

Eating

The reason why the tapas culture is so popular in Spain is because the Spanish eat their main meal at lunch around 2 or 3pm, and then a much smaller dinner pretty late at night. Since they eat a very late dinner, most restaurants won’t even open for business until 9pm or sometimes later, so make sure you plan your meals accordingly.

Sundays

Since Spain is still a very Catholic country, most businesses will be closed on Sundays. This includes grocery stores as well, so make sure you plan accordingly on Saturday. Luckily, public transport still runs so you can get anywhere you need to be.

]]> It’s not a secret that hundreds of millions of people visit Europe every year. The most visited country is France, but do you know which one is the least visited?

The oldest republic in the world, established in 301, is San Marino. It’s located inside the borders of Italy, southwest from the city of Rimini on the coast of the Adriatic sea. Despite its attractive location, you’ll rarely meet tourists here. San Marino is officially the least visited country in Europe.

The capital of this small country is also called San Marino and it’s one of the 9 cities the country has.

San Marino is a real gem for adventurous tourists. You can ride around it in cable cars, visit its famous Museum of Curiosities, and shop at bargain prices because of their no-tax policy.

Un luogo unico e secondo sareebbe teatro di curiosi fenomeni, più probabilmente creati dalla suggestione, ed evocati dal nome stesso del sito. Ci sono luoghi che l'uomo ha saputo fondere con la natura circostante esaltandola, e questo è quanto accade al percorso delle Tre Torri, sul crinale del monte Titano. Qui è racchiusa tutta la bellezza dell'incanto: panorami spettacolari, strapiombi vertiginosi, pietra squadrata e roccia unite in un connubbio indissolubile, magico. San Marino è come una sorta di torre di Babele che dal basso si sviluppa attorno al proprio Monte, quello sperone che ha il nome di un gigante pur non essendolo, ma che ne mantiene vivissima la forza e mette in soggezione il visitatore più sensibile. Simbolicamente, il Titano sorge al centro della città e della Repubblica intera, è dunque a pieno titolo il suo 'omphalos', l'ombelico da cui tutto ha avuto origine e a cui tutto converge, primo fra tutto lo sguardo di chiunque arrivi:esso si punta là in alto, stupito e rapito dalla sagoma di quelle torri svettanti. In una giornata di alternata nebbia, si può ricavare una collezione di sensazioni tanto mutevoli quanto sconvolgenti dentro se stessi. Arrivare alla prima torre è già iniziare ad immergersi nel passato, in un'atmosfera condita di tanti sentimenti che solo l'immaginazione e i rimembri di echi lontani permettono di provare e da qui in poi i sensi umani sono messi a dura prova:l'estasi!  Mentre si percorre il camminamento di ronda si scorge all'improvviso la seconda torre, che traspare tra la nebbia, perfetto soggetto per una cornice impareggiabile, abbarbicata sul dirupo più alto del Titano, alla sua massima elevazione (739 m), quasi irreale, fiabesca, eppure reale. 📝 #ig_italia #italia #instagramitalia #ig_italia_borghiecitta #italy

]]> Spain is a beautiful country with some of the most amazing food in the world. But, it definitely has it’s quirks. Before you go, here are a few tips that will help you have the best vacation ever.

Nightlife

People all over Spain are notorious for going out late, and the rumors are true. You might go out for a beer early in the night, but if you want to go to a proper club, you certainly cannot get there before 2am and prepare yourself to stay out until 6 or even 7 in the morning.

Eating

The reason why the tapas culture is so popular in Spain is because the Spanish eat their main meal at lunch around 2 or 3pm, and then a much smaller dinner pretty late at night. Since they eat a very late dinner, most restaurants won’t even open for business until 9pm or sometimes later, so make sure you plan your meals accordingly.

Sundays

Since Spain is still a very Catholic country, most businesses will be closed on Sundays. This includes grocery stores as well, so make sure you plan accordingly on Saturday. Luckily, public transport still runs so you can get anywhere you need to be.
