Procrastination is often an essential part of working from home, but you can avoid it by limiting your hours. You’ll become more efficient and avoid temptations this way because you’ll know you have to finish work at a designated time.
Scheduling breaks is equally important as scheduling the rest of your workday. You’ll see for yourself for how long your attention holds when you work remotely, and break your working schedule into several sections based on that.

]]>Autonomy studied the connection between the number of hours people spend at work every week and greenhouse gas emissions and concluded that our current climate can’t afford the usual work hours.
“The actual sustainable work week, based on today’s levels of productivity and carbon intensity, would likely need to be well below 10 hours per week per person, even in relatively carbon-efficient economies,” the study states.
Since this is virtually impossible, it would be good if companies did what they could – switch to four-day work weeks or let their employees work from home whenever possible.
The employees would also benefit from this. If they could keep the productivity levels, they’d be left with more free time that would otherwise be spent on commute and lunch breaks and everyone would be happier.

]]>Getting up early and a good breakfast will set your day on the right track. Sleeping in may feel good in the moment but it will leave you feeling like you’ve wasted your day.
There will always be distractions, especially if you don’t live alone, but what you can do is to stop the most obvious ones, like the TV in the background and notifications on your phone.

Just because there’s nobody around, it doesn’t mean that you can walk around with bed hair and in your pajamas all day. Brush your teeth, get dressed, have a breakfast – simply do everything you would if you were going to the office.
Not having anyone to overlook your work can be great but you must have the discipline to do your job from home, but don’t be too hard on yourself. A big lunch break and a few more short breaks will only do you good.

WeWork gives you options on what type of space you’d like: hot desk (changes by day), dedicated desk, or private office. They offer a host of amenities, including daily cleaning, office supplies, beer taps, mail handling, private phone booths, and more.
Unlike WeWork, Mindspace offers memberships. This subscription allows you to use the open seating in the office and works as a pass to events, activities, and benefits. You can also use any Mindspace location! They offer similar amenities to WeWork and more, like event space, coffee bars, and a soda fountain.
Labs takes coworking to the next level. Your hotdesk or private office also includes a fully equipped gym with classes, a cafeteria, and lounge areas. You could spend your entire day there. Some locations even have showers and a barista ready to give you endless cappuccinos.
TechSpace’s concierge staff is there to please. They help you order supplies, cater lunch, and book rooms to remove the element of stress. They also offer the general coffee bar and lounge areas and are designed to maximize space without overwhelming their members.
