The BET Awards are an opportunity to celebrate the contribution of African Americans and other American minorities in music, acting, sports, and entertainment.
In recent years, two things have been certain. First is the guarantee that Cardi B will win big and second, is that the ceremony will showcase some of the finest fashion on the red carpet. Here are some of the looks we loved.

Lizzo wore a wood grain dress complete with wood grain nails and a wood grain hat. As per usual, she looked superb.
Justin Skye
Justin Skye slayed with her sheer black dress with sparkly bits.
Rico Nasty
Rico Nasty wore Fenty paired with Dolce Gabbana. “Killing it” is an understatement.
Karrueche Tran
Karraueche provides further proof that yellow is the unexpected color which will shine this season. She looked stunning in a tailored suit with fiery eye makeup and a slick updo.
Cardi B
And of course, Cardi B looked incredible when she took home her Album of the Year Award.
