Hot summer days are here and for most of us (at least girls) this means only one thing – it’s time to get our perfect summer tan! However, in the midst of this excitement, we shouldn’t forget to take a few safety measures before we expose our skin to the sun. Check out these safety tips for healthy tanning.
Wear Sunscreen
You could have seen this one coming, right? Sunscreen with a high SPF is a must if you want to avoid skin damage and sunburns. You don’t have to worry as you can still tan with sunscreen and your skin will even have a healthier glow this way. Remember to put it on every hour or so.
Don’t Overexpose
We’re all tempted to spend an entire day on the beach when summer comes. However, you probably know that this isn’t healthy, so try to avoid the hottest hours of the day. The only way to get a healthy glow is to tan gradually, so be patient and don’t spend too much time in the sun.
Wear a Hat and Sunglasses
Your skin is not the only thing you should take care of in the sun. Wearing a big hat on a daily basis will protect your hair from damage and it also very stylish. Your eyes need protection from the sun as well and the best way to do it is to wear sunglasses that can block UV rays.
