Calathea Rattlesnake

This beauty likes to be kept in medium, indirect sunlight. Water it every 1-2 weeks after checking if the potting mix is half-dry. It really loves filtered water.

This beauty was one of the first calatheas I ever purchased. I was hesitant to dip my toes into caring for calatheas because of the finicky rep they seemed to have online, but boy am I glad I did! Yes, they need a good bit of humidity, but I already have a love affair with my oil diffuser anyways, so that tends to give my more humidity-loving plants the adequate care that they need. This rattlesnake calathea is a fast-grower (given adequate light / growing conditions) and has the trademark calathea trait of folding its leaves up and night and lowering them again in the daytime. Pothos Satin

Its light leaves love indirect sunlight but pothos isn’t too picky – you can just keep it anywhere, really. Water it weekly, but it’s better to miss a week than to give it too much water.
