Bored with your classic apple or cherry pies? You definitely must try this rich Turtle pie with a crunchy pecan cookie crust recipe by Sweetmenu. It’s full of delicious caramel, chocolate, and pecan flavor and perfect for those who love creamy, melt-in-your-mouth desserts.

Ingredients

  • Pecan cookie crust
  • 140 grams (1 cup) plain flour
  • 50 grams (1/4 cup) caster sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch or cornflour
  • 110 grams (1 cup) pecans, finely chopped
  • 115 grams (1/2 cup or 1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

Brown sugar caramel

  • 240 ml (1 cup) sweetened condensed milk
  • 90 grams (1/2 cup) brown sugar
  • 60 grams (1/4 cup) unsalted butter
  • Pinch of sea salt

Chocolate ganache

  • 225 grams (1 and 1/2 cups) dark (or milk) chocolate, roughly chopped
  • 120 ml (1/2 cup) thickened or heavy cream
  • 110 grams (1 cup) pecans, roughly chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180 C (350 F).
  2. Mix flour, sugar, cornflour, and pecans, pour over melted butter and stir until the mixture looks like wet sand.
  3. Pour this mixture into an 8-inch pie plate and press evenly into the bottom and sides.
  4. Bake cookie crust for 15 minutes and leave to cool for 15 minutes.
  5. Make the caramel cream by adding sweetened condensed milk, brown sugar and butter in a saucepan and place on low-medium heat.
  6. Stir gently until the caramel thickens and the sugar is completely melted, then add a pinch of salt.
  7. Once cool, pour caramel cream over baked cookie crust and place this in a fridge.
  8. Place chocolate and cream into a bowl to make the chocolate ganache. Heat in the microwave and make sure to stir every 20 seconds, until smooth. Another way to make the ganache is to heat the cream on the stovetop and add chocolate.
  9. Pour the ganache over the caramel, decorate with chopped pecans on top and put the pie in the fridge again, for about 6 hours or overnight.

If you find yourself missing a honey cake while visiting Prague, don’t despair. Their traditional dessert medovnik is multi-layered dessert filled with honey, which will satisfy your craving for this delicacy.

🐝 FIT MEDOVNÍK 🐝 Tento medovník je téměř bez mouky, vysokoproteinový a jedním slovem ÚŽASNÝ! 😍 Nemůžu uvěřit, že se to povedlo 👌 Musím uznat, že je trochu pracnější, než co jste u mě zvyklí, ale pokud milujete ten klasický, nebudete litovat času stráveného u trouby! ❤ Máte rádi medovník? 😘 RECEPT: 400 g ovesných vloček 100 g špaldové mouky + cca 50 g pomoučnění válu 60 g vanilkového proteinu 20 g arašídového másla 1 lžička kokosového oleje 4 g skořice 190 g medu 1 vejce + 2 bílky 5 g kypřícího prášku Mléko Krém: 40 g medu 150 g ricotty 90 g mascarpone 180 g tvarohu 30 g vanilkového proteinu Posypka: Vlašské ořechy POSTUP: Smícháme vločky, mouku, protein, kypřící prášek, skořici, přidáme arašídové máslo, kokosový olej, med, vejce, bílky a promícháme, postupně podle oka přilijeme mléko tak, aby se těsto co nejméně lepilo a drželo při sobě. Poté na pomoučněném válu rozválíme těsto na tenko a vykrojíme pomocí formy na dort kolečka (použila jsem průměr 11cm) a uložíme na plech na pečící papír. Pekla jsem po 2 plátech na 180° 10-13 minut. Mezitím uděláme krém smícháním všech ingrediencí a dáme do lednice. Po upečení necháme pláty vychladnout, jeden dáme na stranu a ostatní pomažeme krémem a vrstvíme na sebe. Pomažeme i vrchní a kolem dokola rovnoměrně ze stran. Pak si rozmixujeme vlašské ořechy se zbylým plátem a celý dort pokryjeme posypkou. Necháme přes noc v lednici, aby pláty krásně změkly 😊 NUTRIČNÍ HODNOTY na 1 ks: 531 kcal Bílkoviny 26 g Sacharidy 72 g z toho cukry 25 g Tuky 15 g z toho nasycené mastné kyseliny 6 g Vláknina 4 g Uvedené hodnoty jsou pouze orientační 🙂

Making a cake in a cast iron skillet is so easy, gives it amazing flavor, and really couldn’t be easier.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
  • 1 cup of packed brown sugar
  • 2 cups of fresh fruit of your choice
  • 1/2 cup of chopped pecans or any nuts of your choice
  • 1/3 cup of orange juice, water, or milk
  • 3 eggs separated
  • 1 cup of white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder

Instructions:

  1. Start by making the caramel sauce that will go on the top of the cake once you flip it.
  2. Melt the butter in the cast iron and then add brown sugar. Mix until it just starts to bubble over medium heat and then turn off the heat.
  3. Add in the fruit of your choice and then sprinkle on the nuts.
  4. Make the cake batter by whisking together the flour and baking powder, and then in a separate bowl, the yolks, white sugar, and the vanilla extract, until the yolks are pale yellow.
  5. Whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form and then fold that into the cake batter.
  6. Finally, pour the cake batter on top of the fruit and bake in a 375 F oven for 30-35 minutes.
  7. Wait for 10 minutes for the cake to cool, and then flip onto a cake stand and enjoy!

If you’ve ever watched the Great British Bake Off and seen contestants making Chantilly cream for cakes and other desserts and been totally confused, you’re not alone.

If you look at Chantilly cream, you might notice it seems a lot like whipped cream, and that would be a correct assumption!

So, why do some people say whipped cream and some say Chantilly?

Chantilly cream is not exactly like whipped cream, but it’s just about the same. The biggest difference between the two is that whipped cream isn’t usually sweetened as much as a Chantilly cream. Usually Chantilly cream has about twice as much sugar in it as opposed to whipped cream, but some may have even more!

However, the preparation is much the same as you just add heavy cream, as much sugar as you like, and vanilla extract into a bowl and whip until soft peaks form.

In terms of use, you can really use these creams interchangeably, unless your recipe specifies for one or the other. But, if you think your dessert needs more sweetness, go for a Chantilly cream. If you feel like it just needs a touch of sweetness and a delicate flavor, whipped cream is the right choice for you.

Ingredients:

1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup unsalted butter on room temperature
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
1 1/2 cup chopped pitted dates
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup of sugar

For the sauce:
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/4 cup light brown sugar
1 teaspoon brandy
1/4 cup unsalted butter
whipped cream

Instructions:

Before you start making the toffee pudding you need a 6-cup Bundt pan. Set the oven to 350 F degrees and prepare the pan. Cook the dates with 1 1/4 cup water. Wait for the water to boil, then add the baking soda. Place the pan on the side. Combine the baking powder, 1 1/2 cups flour, and salt in a bowl. In another one, mix the 1/4 cup butter, vanilla, and sugar with an electric mixer. Include 1 egg, and mix again. Combine it with one half of the dates mix, and half of the flour mix. Continue adding the rest of the flour mix, dates, and the other egg.

The batter for the pudding is done. Fill the Bundt pan with it. Leave it in the oven for 40-45 minutes.

To make the sauce combine the butter, heavy cream, and sugar in a pan. Wait for the mix to boil and cook for an extra 3 minutes. You can now add the brandy.

Filling 1 canned full fat coconut milk 1 cup almond milk 1/4 cup cocoa powder 2 tbsp cornstarch 100g melted dark chocolate 1/3 cup pure maple syru 2 tsp vanilla 1 tsp agar agar powder . ⏩⏩Instructions Preheat oven to 180celsius. Grease a tart 8×8 inch pan. Set aside. In a food processor, process buckwheat until finely grounded, add in almond meal, cocoa powder, coconut oil, and maple syrup. Pulse until well combined. You should get a moist mixture than can be easily moulded. Firmly press into bottom and up the sides of tart tin. Bake for 12-15 mins until crust is golden brown. Transfer to a wire rack and let it cool. Pour the coconut cream, milk, dark chocolate, maple syrup and vanilla into a medium pan. Place pan on the stove on low heat. When the mixture becomes warm, add the cocoa powder, cornstarch and agar-agar. Stirring constantly, cook until agar completely dissolve. Allow to boil for approximately 30 to 60 seconds. Recipe:

  1. Start off by crushing by hand or in a food processor whatever cookies you like best. Take 1 ½ cups of the cookie crumbs and put them in a bowl.
  2. Combine the crumbs with 1/3 cup of powdered sugar and 1/3 cup of cocoa powder and mix to combine.
  3. Finally, pour in 1 stick of melted butter and stir well. Press the mix into a pie plate and leave to the side.
  4. In another bowl, start to mix 8 oz of softened cream cheese. To that, add in a 14 oz can of condensed milk and whisk well.
  5. Melt 6 oz of chocolate and add that into the mix as well, followed by 2 eggs and 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract.
  6. Mix everything to combine and then pour it over the chocolate cookie base.
  7. Bake a 350 F for 30-35 minutes, allow to cool, and then enjoy!

Making a cake in a cast iron skillet is so easy, gives it amazing flavor, and really couldn’t be easier.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter
  • 1 cup of packed brown sugar
  • 2 cups of fresh fruit of your choice
  • 1/2 cup of chopped pecans or any nuts of your choice
  • 1/3 cup of orange juice, water, or milk
  • 3 eggs separated
  • 1 cup of white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder

Instructions:

  1. Start by making the caramel sauce that will go on the top of the cake once you flip it.
  2. Melt the butter in the cast iron and then add brown sugar. Mix until it just starts to bubble over medium heat and then turn off the heat.
  3. Add in the fruit of your choice and then sprinkle on the nuts.
  4. Make the cake batter by whisking together the flour and baking powder, and then in a separate bowl, the yolks, white sugar, and the vanilla extract, until the yolks are pale yellow.
  5. Whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form and then fold that into the cake batter.
  6. Finally, pour the cake batter on top of the fruit and bake in a 375 F oven for 30-35 minutes.
  7. Wait for 10 minutes for the cake to cool, and then flip onto a cake stand and enjoy!

If you’ve ever watched the Great British Bake Off and seen contestants making Chantilly cream for cakes and other desserts and been totally confused, you’re not alone.

If you look at Chantilly cream, you might notice it seems a lot like whipped cream, and that would be a correct assumption!

So, why do some people say whipped cream and some say Chantilly?

Chantilly cream is not exactly like whipped cream, but it’s just about the same. The biggest difference between the two is that whipped cream isn’t usually sweetened as much as a Chantilly cream. Usually Chantilly cream has about twice as much sugar in it as opposed to whipped cream, but some may have even more!

However, the preparation is much the same as you just add heavy cream, as much sugar as you like, and vanilla extract into a bowl and whip until soft peaks form.

In terms of use, you can really use these creams interchangeably, unless your recipe specifies for one or the other. But, if you think your dessert needs more sweetness, go for a Chantilly cream. If you feel like it just needs a touch of sweetness and a delicate flavor, whipped cream is the right choice for you.

Ingredients:

1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup unsalted butter on room temperature
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
1 1/2 cup chopped pitted dates
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup of sugar

For the sauce:
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/4 cup light brown sugar
1 teaspoon brandy
1/4 cup unsalted butter
whipped cream

Instructions:

Before you start making the toffee pudding you need a 6-cup Bundt pan. Set the oven to 350 F degrees and prepare the pan. Cook the dates with 1 1/4 cup water. Wait for the water to boil, then add the baking soda. Place the pan on the side. Combine the baking powder, 1 1/2 cups flour, and salt in a bowl. In another one, mix the 1/4 cup butter, vanilla, and sugar with an electric mixer. Include 1 egg, and mix again. Combine it with one half of the dates mix, and half of the flour mix. Continue adding the rest of the flour mix, dates, and the other egg.

The batter for the pudding is done. Fill the Bundt pan with it. Leave it in the oven for 40-45 minutes.

To make the sauce combine the butter, heavy cream, and sugar in a pan. Wait for the mix to boil and cook for an extra 3 minutes. You can now add the brandy.

Buckwheat Chocolate Pie by @nm_meiyee Headover to her page for loads of deliciously healthy recipes! #recipe 👇 ➕➕INGREDIENTS Crust 1 1/2 cups buckwheat, grounded 1/2 cup almond meal 1/4 cup pure maple syrup 3-4 tbsp coconut oil 1 tbsp cocoa powder . Filling 1 canned full fat coconut milk 1 cup almond milk 1/4 cup cocoa powder 2 tbsp cornstarch 100g melted dark chocolate 1/3 cup pure maple syru 2 tsp vanilla 1 tsp agar agar powder . ⏩⏩Instructions Preheat oven to 180celsius. Grease a tart 8×8 inch pan. Set aside. In a food processor, process buckwheat until finely grounded, add in almond meal, cocoa powder, coconut oil, and maple syrup. Pulse until well combined. You should get a moist mixture than can be easily moulded. Firmly press into bottom and up the sides of tart tin. Bake for 12-15 mins until crust is golden brown. Transfer to a wire rack and let it cool. Pour the coconut cream, milk, dark chocolate, maple syrup and vanilla into a medium pan. Place pan on the stove on low heat. When the mixture becomes warm, add the cocoa powder, cornstarch and agar-agar. Stirring constantly, cook until agar completely dissolve. Allow to boil for approximately 30 to 60 seconds. Pour mixture into cooled tart and refrigerate at least 4 hours to set. Chocolate pie is the treat you deserve. And with a cookie base and a chocolate cream cheese filling, it couldn’t be easier to make. This pie doesn’t require a pastry pie crust or waiting for anything to set, so all you have to do is mix everything together, pop it in the oven, and you have an amazing pie!

Recipe:

  1. Start off by crushing by hand or in a food processor whatever cookies you like best. Take 1 ½ cups of the cookie crumbs and put them in a bowl.
  2. Combine the crumbs with 1/3 cup of powdered sugar and 1/3 cup of cocoa powder and mix to combine.
  3. Finally, pour in 1 stick of melted butter and stir well. Press the mix into a pie plate and leave to the side.
  4. In another bowl, start to mix 8 oz of softened cream cheese. To that, add in a 14 oz can of condensed milk and whisk well.
  5. Melt 6 oz of chocolate and add that into the mix as well, followed by 2 eggs and 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract.
  6. Mix everything to combine and then pour it over the chocolate cookie base.
  7. Bake a 350 F for 30-35 minutes, allow to cool, and then enjoy!

Everyone likes an easy dessert recipe, especially when it doesn’t involve a lot of ingredients. This cake is super moist, delicious, perfectly sweet, and only takes four ingredients to make! If you are someone who’s a little shy when it comes to baking, this is the perfect recipe for you.

Ingredients

The four ingredients for this recipe are 1 can of condensed milk, it should be 14 oz, 4 eggs, 3.5 tablespoons of butter that has been melted, and 1 cup of self-raising flour. If you don’t have self-raising flour, you can make it at home by using 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 ½ teaspoon of baking powder and ¼ teaspoon of salt.

Recipe:

  1. Start by preheating your oven to 350 F and greasing a cake tin.
  2. Put all the ingredients into a bowl and use an electric mixer or a standmixer to combine everything until the ingredients are mixed and smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the tin and bake for 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Take the cake out and allow it to cool inside the pan for a few minutes before removing it.
  5. Serve with a dusting of powdered sugar and enjoy!
