Use Your Old Flip Flops to Make These Amazing DIY Sandals!

Flip flops are a great sandal to have in the summer because they’re cheap and actually very comfortable! However, if you want to jazz them up a bit and make them more customized, it takes almost no effort and a few tools! Just gather your favorite string or fabric, a glue gun, and an old pair of flip flops and you’re ready to go!

Instructions

  1. First, take out all plastic part of the flip flops so you are just left with the soles and the three holes where the plastic part used to be, which will be the base of the new sandals.
  2. Take a piece of string or fabric and make a loop and put one through each hole.
  3. Tie a knot, cut it so there’s nothing extra hanging off, and use a hot glue gun to glue it down so it’s flat and comfortable.
  4. Then, take any piece of string, piece of fabric, or anything you want, and loop it through all the three loops.
  5. Tie it onto yourself down by your ankle, or tie up your leg like an espadrille sandal.
  6. Once you have the loops though, you can change up the strings to match your looks!
