MAC Cosmetics is celebrating 25 years of Selena Quintanilla’s legacy in a very special way—by releasing a brand-new makeup collection that was approved by the members of the singer’s family.
“Selena La Reina” collection still doesn’t have an official launch date, but it’s expected to come our way in April. This limited-edition line celebrates 25 years of the Queen of Tejano Music’s legacy, and it’s the second time that her family has collaborated with this beauty brand since 2016.
Their first partnership with the Quintanilla family was an instant best-seller, and it was just a matter of time before they joined forces again. According to the singer’s sister Suzette, this collection will have “the holographic feel” and it’s expected to feature a brand-new highlighter, and Bidi Bidi Bom Bom lip-gloss from the first Selena line.
“Sitting with MAC team before the first Selena collection, I had an amazing idea to celebrate my sister’s 25th anniversary when the time came. And now, we’re making it happen!” said Suzette Quintanilla in a press release.
