Have you ever wondered if swapping out your regular hairbrush for a wooden one could be a game-changer for your locks? Wooden brushes are getting a lot of buzz for their hair health benefits. Let’s dive into why this old-school tool might just be your new favorite way to get that glossy, healthy hair we all crave.

Natural Oil Distribution

One of the primary advantages of using a wooden brush is its ability to distribute the scalp’s natural oils evenly throughout the hair. This natural oil acts as a built-in conditioner, which can help reduce frizz and increase hair shine.

Reduced Static and Breakage

Static electricity can be a problem with plastic or metal brushes, especially in dry conditions. Wooden brushes, however, do not conduct electricity and can help reduce static. Moreover, the relatively wider spacing between wooden bristles helps in gently detangling hair without pulling or breaking the strands, which is particularly beneficial for those with fragile or damaged hair.

Scalp Health

Massaging the scalp with a wooden brush can improve circulation and promote hair growth. The gentle pressure helps to exfoliate the scalp, clearing away dead skin and reducing dandruff. This type of massage also has a soothing effect, which can be a stress reliever for many.

Going to your favorite hair salon is out of the question right now, and many people are trying to take care of their hair on their own while social distancing. If you’re in the same boat, here’s a couple of common hair care mistakes you shouldn’t make.

Bleaching Your Hair

If you’re thinking of dying your hair while in quarantine, stick to the basics. Don’t try complicated procedures that should’ve been left to the pros, such as bleaching, since it can seriously damage your hair if you’re not doing it right.

Extensive Washing

You can also retain the color of your dyed hair by avoiding over-washing. Your dye won’t fade away so fast if you minimize the number of washes to one or two per week if possible, and consider adding color-safe shampoo to the mix.

Experimental Haircuts

Cutting your own hair can be a recipe for disaster if you’ve never done it before. The only good reason to do it right now is getting rid of split ends, and you can do it with nourishing hair products instead. If you decided to go down this road anyway, don’t experiment too much and stick to hairstyles that always looked good on you because there’s no going back.

If you spend an entire day with your hair in a ponytail or a bun, chances are you’ll go to sleep the same way. Unfortunately, this habit can be very bad for your hair and here’s why you should avoid it at all costs.

Breakage

Sleeping with a ponytail won’t do any favors to your hair. It can cause serious damage and breakage, especially if you enjoy tight hairstyles.

Letting your hair down is the best option, but if you don’t enjoy having it in your face, at least try to use loose-fitting scrunchies or silk headwraps which aren’t so hard on your hair.

Hair Loss

Wearing your hair tightly pulled back can lead to more than breakage and damage. It can even cause hair loss if you keep doing it on a regular basis.

Fortunately, you can solve this problem by changing your ways. You won’t get back the hair you lost, but at least you won’t be repeating the same mistake once you stop pulling it back while you sleep.

We all want to have gorgeous, healthy hair, which is why we often tend to listen to all kinds of hair care advice. The fact is that most of them are actually very far from the truth.

Here are three myths about hair care you should forget about immediately.

The more you brush your hair, the healthier it will be

This is one of the biggest myths out there. If you’re brushing your hair as often as you can, know that this could do more harm than good, because you can easily damage your hair’s cuticle. Running a brush through your hair twice a day should be more than enough.

Dying your hair is unhealthy

It is true that bleaching is one the worst things you can do to your hair and you can easily damage it if you’re not careful. Hair color removal is also very unhealthy, as it makes your hair thinner, but dying your hair isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Adding color to your hair can actually make it look better and thicker.

Switching shampoos is good for your hair

This is neither here nor there. Switching your shampoo will probably refresh your hair because they all have different effects. The fact that you like the feeling doesn’t mean you should change your shampoo on a regular basis. We still have no proof that this can do any good for hair.

As women, we often want what we don’t have. Girls with naturally straight hair want to curl it, while those who were born with gorgeous curls want to have their hair straight from time to time. As curly hair tends to be dry, too, you need to be extra cautious when straightening it if you don’t want to damage it.

If you often straighten your curly hair, you will quickly realize that your curls don’t look the same anymore, which will likely lead you to keep straightening it more and more. Prolonged heat affects the hair structure and makes it weaker and fragile. What can you do to prevent this?

If you absolutely must use a hair straightener, make sure your hair is protected with silicones. Wash your hair with a protein shampoo and use a leave-in conditioner for added care.

Gorgeous hair is the key for looking and feeling beautiful every day. When your hair is healthy, voluminous, and doesn’t have split ends, you don’t need too much time or effort to get ready in the morning.

When planning a haircare routine, it’s important to take the current season into consideration. Hair changes over the year and it’s usually like this – it grows faster in the spring, can fall out more in the fall, and stagnates during winter and summer. Here’s how to make it look amazing in between winter and spring.

Your hair doesn’t like winter very much. Cold weather, dry air inside, and hats can all damage your hair, leaving it lifeless before the spring arrives. In order to fix the consequences of the winter, the first thing you need to do is to watch what you eat. Make sure you’re eating plenty of vegetables that will give you all the needed vitamins and minerals for your hair and the rest of your body.

Now is the time to use mild shampoos and hydrating conditioners. Massage the shampoo into your scalp and don’t repeat shampooing if not necessary. Try to wait as long as you can in-between washes.

Go for a trim and make sure to cut enough so that you’re left with healthy hair. Don’t worry, it will grow out faster than you think. If you’ve been thinking about changing your hair color, spring is a great time for that!

Waiting for the hair to grow out is a long process and many are impatient and want to make it faster. Could coconut oil be the way to do it?

Unfortunately, there’s no proof that coconut oil can make your hair grow faster. However, it’s great as a moisturizer and has many different benefits for both hair and skin, but boosting growth is not among them.

What can you do? Keep your hair as healthy as you can, stay away from heating tools, and trim the ends regularly. By doing all this, you’ll enable it to grow long and beautiful, and the longer you wait, the more it will pay off.

Buongiorno! 🍊👳🏽‍♀️🌱#spignatto #spignattare #gogreen #green #healthy #health #lifestyle #makeup #naturalmakeup #cosmesi #cosmesinaturale #ecobiocosmesi #healing #healingpower #herbs #raw #rawfood #photography #conditioner #balsamofaidate #faidate #diy #diyrecipe #comment #diyconditioner #coconut #coconutoil

Ingredients:

Yes, this amazing recipe only requires two ingredients. But, wait, there’s more good news! You probably already have these two in your kitchen. You will need 1 tablespoon honey and 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil. This amazing recipe will really bring that special glow to your hairstyle. It is very useful for people who color their hair. The DIY hair conditioner is meant for both man and women.

Instructions:

Get a bowl, and put the two ingredients in. Start mixing until you get a paste with good consistency. After you’ve shampooed your hair, you can use the DIY hair conditioner. Start at the roots and continue to the tips. Yous your fingers. Once you’ve covered all parts evenly, you can wrap your hair in a bath hat or plastic. Let the conditioner stay for 15 minutes. Take the cap out and wash the hair with warm water.

Buongiorno! 🍊👳🏽‍♀️🌱#spignatto #spignattare #gogreen #green #healthy #health #lifestyle #makeup #naturalmakeup #cosmesi #cosmesinaturale #ecobiocosmesi #healing #healingpower #herbs #raw #rawfood #photography #conditioner #balsamofaidate #faidate #diy #diyrecipe #comment #diyconditioner #coconut #coconutoil
